misplaced series: thread installations

Paint over paint, as seen in the walls of Mexico, vibrant colors, letters that become a voice, and lines that convert into graffiti are my form of expression.

Site-specific thread installations

Not long ago I heard Louise Bourgeois say that being small will not impede her from making big art works.  So I decided to challenge myself, lose the fear and start using the architectural space as my canvas. With thread as my medium, I started creating geometric abstract forms to reconfigure my surrounding space. Playing with the thread becomes a dance, a joyful musical conversation, while it takes a life of its own.

Rupturing geometry through the vital force of the body.

Physically entering the space while holding the thread.

Weaving in the architectural space.
